Steve McQueen Year 3 at Tate

In 2019 we undertook on a major conservation framing collaboration with The Tate Gallery.

Artist/ Director Steve McQueen Took over the Duveen Gallery at Tate Britain to create ‘year 3’ project. A portrait of London’s year 3 pupils, in the traditional class portrait format.

3,250 Handcrafted Frames

We excitingly won the contract and embarked on making 3,250 of handcrafted maple wax finished frames with an archival window mount.

Over the space of 9 months Archetype and a crew of 4 team members worked tirelessly with amazing attention to detail consistently. We successfully managed to deliver around 500 frames per month on schedule.

This highlights our capacity to execute a project of this scale.
